Suck at shooting? (Read This)⠀ ⠀ When I was younger… ⠀ ⠀ Shooting was 1 of my biggest weaknesses. I used to pass the ball to teammates or take too many touches around the box, because I was embarrassed with how weak and inaccurate my shots were. ⠀ ⠀ Now… ⠀ ⠀ Shooting is 1 of my biggest strengths.⠀ ⠀ Here are 3 things I did to improve my shooting overtime:⠀ ⠀ 1. Shoot daily. I made a habit of practicing shooting everyday (with both feet). What are you bad at? Turn those deficiencies into daily habits – overtime the repetitions with transform your technique. There is no substitute for consistent practice: you have to put in the work.⠀ ⠀ 2. Analyse technique. Repetitions will help but they will be wasted without proper analysis of each shot: What did you do wrong? What do you need to change next time? Most players just shoot without asking themselves: what happened? and why did it happen? ⠀ ⠀ 3. Learn from the best. You can struggle through trial and error to discover what works best. Or you can learn from the best players in the world. Analyse the shooting technique of professionals: how do they create power? accuracy? where do they make contact? how do they flex their foot? what do they do with their body? Analyse. ⠀ ⠀ Do you have any specific questions about shooting? Comment below. ⠀ ⠀ TAG a soccer player who needs to see this!⠀ ⠀ If you don’t want to waste your potential, waste your time, or look back on your playing career with regret – let me help you succeed:⠀ ⠀ I’ve created a free guide called “The Top 5 Reasons 91% of Players Fail in Football” because I don’t want you to make these painful mistakes. Tired of never getting noticed?⠀ ⠀ Whenever players ask me about how to get scouted in soccer they also ask:⠀ ⠀ How to impress scouts?⠀ or What do scouts look for?⠀ ⠀ When I was younger, I made the mistakes of trying to overcomplicate my play because I wanted to standout so badly (which actually worked against me). Overtime I started to understand… ⠀ ⠀ 4 easy ideas that will impress scouts and help you standout when you play:⠀ ⠀ 1.Make an impact. Players who make a contribution to the outcome of the game get noticed. That means scoring goals, making assists, creating chances, keeping clean sheets, making big saves, and doing everything they can to help their team win.⠀ ⠀ 2. Play your position properly. Strikers need to score goals and defenders need to keep clean sheets. If you want to impress scouts, learn to play your position properly. That means being the right place, making the right decisions, and executing with your position specific skills.⠀ ⠀ 3. Show your unique qualities. Multiple scouts have told me they always look for a specific quality that makes a player stand out. That could be your speed, physical strength, technical skill, passing ability. Whatever your best qualities are, demonstrate them when you play. Don’t try to overcomplicate your play. Do what you’re good at.⠀ ⠀ 4. Display leadership. Scouts like to see players who can inspire their teammates to play better. Not only do they want to bring good players into their club, they want to bring in good people. Motivate your teammates, give descriptive advice, and help your team with your words as well as your feet.⠀ ⠀ Do you have specific questions about any of these methods? Comment below.⠀ ⠀ TAG a soccer player who needs to see this!⠀ ⠀ If you don’t want to waste your potential, waste your time, or look back on your playing career with regret – let me help you succeed:⠀ ⠀ I’ve created a free guide called “The Top 5 Reasons 91% of Players Fail in Football” because I don’t want you to make these painful mistakes. Scared you may never achieve your dream of playing college or professional soccer because you don’t know how to get scouted…⠀ ⠀ Don’t sit around and expect someone to come and find you. Instead, put yourself in situations where you will be found.⠀ ⠀ “Getting Scouted” is one method to make it to the next level.⠀ ⠀ Personally, I used “player identification camps” to earn a college soccer scholarship and play with the National Futsal team.⠀ ⠀ Here are 4 ways to get scouted in soccer (football):⠀ ⠀ 1. Showcase Tournaments. Many countries will hold large tournaments where numerous teams come and scouts are invited to come watch. If you’re on the best team in your city, you’ll be more likely to attend these types of events. ⠀ ⠀ 2. Open Tryouts. Some professional clubs will hold tryouts for the public. There could be 100s of players attending. Scouts may only select 1 or 2 players; the odds may not be favourable but it’s an opportunity for you to be seen, gain some experience, and potentially make some connections.⠀ ⠀ 3. Combines. Organizations will put together tryouts for a group of players and invite scouts from different professional clubs. You could have 10-20 different scouts watching you at once. ⠀ ⠀ 4. Player and ID Camps. Attending player development camps and identification camps is another opportunity to be seen and build connections. Colleges, national programs, and even some lower division professional clubs will hold pre-season ID camps to find new players.⠀ ⠀ Do you have specific questions about any of these methods? Comment below.⠀ ⠀ TAG a soccer player who needs to see this!⠀ ⠀ If you don’t want to waste your potential, waste your time, or look back on your playing career with regret – let me help you succeed:⠀ ⠀ I’ve created a free guide called “The Top 5 Reasons 91% of Players Fail in Football” because I don’t want you to make these painful mistakes. Stop wasting time!⠀ ⠀ Are you an ambitious player but have no idea how to get scouted?⠀ ⠀ Here are 4 ways to increase your chances:⠀ ⠀ 1. Understand the process - You live, where you live. You can either use it as an excuse or find a way to work the system. Your ability to overcome obstacles like location, finances, and politics is what will make you successful in soccer (and life). ⠀ ⠀ 2. Change your environment – Have you put yourself into the best possible situation to be scouted? Create a plan to get yourself onto the best team, in the best league, currently available to you.⠀ ⠀ 3. Find additional exposure – Never assume someone is going to come and find you. You must make yourself be found. Get online and start searching for more exposure: showcase tournaments, combines, open try-outs, ID camps, etc.⠀ ⠀ 4. Stand out every time you play – Every time you have the ball at your feet you are on trial. Always remind yourself: “someone is watching” because you never know who might have the connection you need to get to the next level. ⠀ ⠀ Do you have any questions about getting scouted?
