Suck at shooting? (Read This)⠀ ⠀ When I was younger… ⠀ ⠀ Shooting was 1 of my biggest weaknesses. I used to pass the ball to teammates or take too many touches around the box, because I was embarrassed with how weak and inaccurate my shots were. ⠀ ⠀ Now… ⠀ ⠀ Shooting is 1 of my biggest strengths.⠀ ⠀ Here are 3 things I did to improve my shooting overtime:⠀ ⠀ 1. Shoot daily. I made a habit of practicing shooting everyday (with both feet). What are you bad at? Turn those deficiencies into daily habits – overtime the repetitions with transform your technique. There is no substitute for consistent practice: you have to put in the work.⠀ ⠀ 2. Analyse technique. Repetitions will help but they will be wasted without proper analysis of each shot: What did you do wrong? What do you need to change next time? Most players just shoot without asking themselves: what happened? and why did it happen? ⠀ ⠀ 3. Learn from the best. You can struggle through trial and error to discover what works best. Or you can learn from the best players in the world. Analyse the shooting technique of professionals: how do they create power? accuracy? where do they make contact? how do they flex their foot? what do they do with their body? Analyse. ⠀ ⠀ Do you have any specific questions about shooting?
